Lednice and Valtice

UNESCO jewels in Southern Moravia. Lednice is a pseudo gothic chateau with a preserved riding-school, a park with a minaret and a well-known greenhouse. Valtice, a large baroque complex of chateau buildings, was built in 1643. There are richly decorated interiors and a landscaped park with a theatre.

Kutná hora

Kutná hora is an UNESCO`s listed medieval town located in once prosperous silver mining area, famous for its Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara, its beautiful houses, and the medieval mint. Sedlec, a small 13th century town, which is not far from here, is also worth a closer look because of its Gothic church ornamented with 40 000 human bones.

Karlštejn Castle

The Karlštejn castle is the largest and the most visited Gothic castle in Bohemia. Founded by the Czech king and later Roman Emperor Charles IV in the 14th century, it housed the royal crown jewels, church relics and state documents. The present Neo-gothic appearance dates back to the end of the 19th century.

Konopiště Chateau

The Chateau was founded in the 14th century and renovated in the 19th century by the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria (assassinated in 1914 in Sarajevo). In this chateau you can see the biggest collection of historical guns and hunting trophies in the world.

Křivokát Castle

Gothic castle from the middle of the 13th century built by the king Wenceslas I. Young Charles IV spent his childhood there. The castle was rebuilt in the 19th century. It also offers an exhibition of Gothic sculptures and paintings. The castle is hidden in the middle of the mixed woodland protected by the UNESCO.

Nelahozeves Chateau

It is owned by the Lobkowicz family. We would like to invite you to visit the gallery with pictures of old masters (Rubens, Veronese, Pannini and Brueghel). In the settlement bellow the chateau you can see the family house of the composer Antonín Dvořák. A special offer is lunch/dinner, served on request in the Habsburg Hall.

Červená Lhota

An original Gothic water fortress from the 14th century. In 1641 the chateau was acquired by the Slavata family who installed a new red roof which gave the chateau its name (Red Lhota in English). The romantic chateau is located on the rock in the middle of a lake surrounded by an English park.
